Michelle Wynn is a New England transplant currently teaching chemistry at Saint Ignatius College Preparatory.  Her passion for social justice began as a volunteer for the Connecticut Special Olympics, and continued at Boston College where she directed a nationally recognized assistance program for severely disabled children while earning her Masters.  It was at BC where she founded the non profit “Project Prentiss”, a gang tattoo removal program, which continues to run today.  A bit of a Renaissance woman, she also holds degrees in English Literature and Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, has acted in and directed professional musicals, sung in several rock bands, played rugby for the Minutemen, published her research in epilepsy at Stanford Medical School, and most recently, won the American Chemical Societies “2014 Outstanding Chemistry Teacher in California.”
